This is a music video of one of my personal favorite artists of all time. Of all Christian/secular and every genre...for now!
I have many different reasons I appreciate this rappers music. First off, I think that it's the best rap/hip-hop that the Christian community has to offer, musically. Often times we promote Christian bands/artists etc. and abandon the idea of having something intuitive and creative! Lecrae's music does not stay in a box!
Secondly, I enthusiastically agree with the message in Lecrae's lyrics. Many of his songs have become almost like a motto or battle cry for me. And although I'm careful not to replace God's word with the lyrics of a rapper, I believe that Lecrae's music has had a role in my spiritual growth. It's given me a heart for the persecuted Christians, the lost, the strengthening of the church and being sold(souled, ctm) out for Christ.
